Summary: | This invention is an industrial concentration method by which high grade sepiolite can be obtained from crude ores. After water is added, the crude ores are made to swell and crushed and then water glass is added. The mixture is dispersed 1 to 2 times in high-speed dispersing machine. By means of gravity sedimentation, the concentrated ore will be obtained after solid-liquid separation of the upper suspension and subsequent drying. This invention may obtain 90% high grade sepiolite and the recovery ratio is more than 85%. From the trials of this method in 4 different sepiolite producing areas, the mentioned method is widely adaptable. It can be applied to the construction of new sepiolite, because the quality of the products is stable and the cost is low. |
