Summary: | This invention refers to a method for producing pectine from silkworm excrement, including those after extracted for other component such as chlorophyll. The raw material is characterized by its abundant occurance, ease in collection, high content of pectine and low cost. In the prodn. process, silkworm excrement is firstly washed with water so as to remove the impurities contaminated and then extracted by mixed soln. of oxalic acid and its sodium salt. No antiacid or anticorrosive equipment is needed, therefore, the investment required is rather low and cost of production is also reduced. Alcohols or ketones are selected as pptn. agent washing agent which can be reused after recovering from the system. The process can also be arranged to connect with other process (such as chlorophyll extraction) in the series of silkworm excrement comprehensive utilization. |
