Summary:The majority of shells of ships and naval vessels are welded with 902, 903 or 3c steel plates. frequent maintenance is needed. Because of the low seawater corrosion resisting ability, which affects shipping in sea. The shells are welded with 09 manganese niobium steel plates. It has very strong resisting ability against seawater immersion erosion. Having shipped for 13 years, percolation and fracture have never happened to the weld seam of the main ship body. The shell plates remain smooth and hardly have any rust-eaten. Measured with different method, the average rust-eaten a year is 0.024-0.048 mm.
