The utility model relates to a novel electric motor with security function, which comprises a stator, a rotor and a coil, wherein the stator comprises a stator metal core and a casing, an insulating layer is arranged between the stator and the rotor, the stator and the rotor are respectively connected with a stator sampling wire and a rotor sampling wire which are arranged at the secondary circuit with a protector. The insulting layer is employed in the electric motor, thereby when the stator and the rotor is damaged caused by the bearing or the bearing bush of the bearing seat damage, the running power of the electric motor is not passed the casing and protects the security of the operator. Also the stator sampling wire and the rotor sampling wire is forming a cycle circuit, which can make the electric motor power-off quickly and protect the bearing, the bearing bush and the bearing seat from being burned off. In maintenance, only the bearing, the bearing bush and the bearing seat is repaired, the electric can be used again, thereby effectively reduces the damage of the electric motor and extends the service life of the whole electric motor.
