Summary:The utility model discloses a leakage protector for a water heater, which comprises a microcomputer controller, a ground wire input terminal, a zero line input terminal and a fire wire input terminal, wherein a rectifying and filtering circuit is additionally arranged between the ground wire input terminal and the zero line input terminal, and an output end of the rectifying and filtering circuit is connected with an input end of a photoelectric coupler which outputs standard TTL level to an RA of the microcomputer controller (MCU) that controls the power supply of a power source and the work of a speech prompting circuit. With the MCU, the leakage protector for the water heater can detect whether an input ground wire is electrified or not, so that the function of leakage protection is achieved and the accuracy of leakage detection can be increased.
