Summary:The utility model relates to a water heater which uses alternating current as an energy source and uses the heat generation of an iron core for heating flowing water flow through electromagnetic induction. The utility model is composed of a multipipe iron core which is positioned in an outer pipe, an electromagnetic coil which is wound outside the outer pipe or a magnetic yoke, the magnetic yoke which is suitable for being used under the condition of alternating current and a power factor compensation capacitor which is connected in parallel with the electromagnetic coil, wherein the magnetic yoke is arranged along a field direction outside the outer pipe. The multipipe iron core is formed in the way that a plurality of ferromagnetic-material thin-walled pipes are bundled in the same direction, and is submerged in water flow. The multipipe iron core is conducting magnetic material, a heating element as well as a channel and a heat exchange surface of water flow. No electrical contact exists between a power source and the water flow, so the security is high. The heat exchange area of the heating element is large, and the utility model is immersed in the water flow, so the efficiency is high. The utility model has the advantages of good controllability of induction heating, convenient installation, convenient operation, small volume, less material consumption and low cost.
