Summary:An infrared imaging apparatus is provided that includes a shutter assembly having an integrated thermistor. In one example, an apparatus includes a shutter assembly (200). The shutter assembly includes a blade (309) configured to move between an open position and a closed position. The blade is configured to block external infrared radiation from reaching the focal plane array (FPA) in the closedposition and to transmit the external infrared radiation to the FPA in the open position. The shutter assembly also includes an embedded thermistor (312) configured to sense a temperature of the bladewhen the blade is in the open position.
