The utility model provides a linear friction device. The linear friction device comprises a crank connecting rod device, a friction device, a guide block, a rail and a servo motor, wherein the friction device, the rail and the servo motor are arranged on the same horizontal plane; the crank connecting rod device is in threaded connection between the servo motor and the guide block; the guide block is horizontally arranged on the rail; and a synchronization block on the friction device is in threaded connection with the guide block. The linear friction device has the advantages that 1, a movement pattern combining the servo motor with the crank connecting rod device is used so that the frequency of linear reciprocated friction is improved to 5 times each second; and 2, compressed springs with different elastic coefficients are changed instead of a traditional manner of changing surface pressing force of a sample by loading weights, so that the pressing force on the surface of the sample is adjusted, and a sample clamp and the friction device are relatively stable when a test is carried out under a relatively high frequency.
