A laterally-pulling type mosquito and fly collecting box is connected to the base in a sliding mode. A fixing seat is arranged on the base. The base is connected with a supporting plate mounted on the safety protection guard through a stand column. A brush frame is perpendicularly connected to the fixing seat in a sliding mode through a sliding groove. Brushes are distributed on the brush frame. Limiting protrusions are arranged at the upper end and the lower end of the brush frame and correspond to grooves formed in the safety protection guard. The safety protection guard covers the upper surface of the base. Limiting blocks used for limiting the position of the safety protection guard are fixedly mounted on the base. A motor is arranged on the supporting plate on the safety protection guard, one end of an output shaft of the motor penetrates through the supporting plate and is fixedly mounted at the upper end of the safety protection guard, and power is supplied for the motor through a storage battery arranged on the back face of a photovoltaic battery board.
