The desulfurizing tower comprises a tower body arranged on a base, wherein the tower body comprises a cylindrical tower body, as well as a tower bottom and a tower top which are arranged at the two ends of the tower body; the tower body is divided into a liquid discharging section, a gas inlet section, a gas-liquid reaction section, a liquid inlet section and a gas-liquid separating section from bottom to top; the spray atomizer which is connected with a liquid inlet pipe is arranged inside the liquid inlet section; the liquid inlet pipe extends into the interior of the tower body from the side wall of the tower body; the spray atomizer comprises an atomizing chamber which is connected with the liquid inlet pipe and arranged inside the tower body through an atomizer support frame, and atomizing pipes arranged on the outer wall of the atomizing chamber and of which nozzles are downward. The high-efficiency desulfurizing tower with the novel spray atomizer has the advantages that the atomizing effect on the desulfurizing liquid is good, the gas-liquid contact area is large, the desulphurization reaction can be fully carried out, the corrosion resistance of equipment is good, and the requirements that the desulfurizing tower can be applied to the petroleum, coal, chemical industry, pharmacy, environmental protection and other fields can be met.
