Summary:The utility model discloses a cooling mechanism for an engine compartment of an automobile. The cooling mechanism comprises a heat exchanger as well as an air outlet pipe and an air inlet pipe which are connected with the engine compartment, wherein the heat exchanger comprises a cold water liner and an air cavity arranged on the outer side of the cold water liner, radiators are arranged at two ends of the cold water liner, the two radiators are connected with a water inlet pipe and a water outlet pipe respectively, the other end of the water outlet pipe is connected with a water pump, an independent water tank is connected between the other end of the water inlet pipe and the other end of the water pump, the air cavity is connected with the air outlet pipe and the air inlet pipe respectively, a pressure relief cavity is arranged in a position, which is crossed with the water outlet pipe, of the air outlet pipe, the diameter of the pressure relief cavity is larger than the air outlet pipe, the water outlet pipe penetrates through the pressure relief cavity, and the pressure relief cavity is not communicated with the water outlet pipe. The cooling mechanism is provided with the independent water tank, water flows circularly in the water pipes by the aid of the water pump and exchanges heat with hot air in the air outlet pipe of the engine compartment when passing through the heat exchanger, and the air temperature in the air outlet pipe is decreased.
