The utility model discloses a normally-closed type hydraulic brake. The normally-closed type hydraulic brake comprises a base fixing plate, two guide columns, a first brake block bracket, a second brake block bracket, a first brake block, a second brake block, reset springs and a brake cylinder assembly. The two guide columns are perpendicularly installed on the base fixing plate. The first brake block bracket is installed on the two guide columns in a sleeving mode. The first brake block is installed on the first brake block bracket. The brake cylinder assembly comprises a hydraulic cylinder, a piston rod and a plurality of disc springs. A cover plate is arranged at the top of the hydraulic cylinder, and the disc springs are compressed into the hydraulic cylinder through the cover plate. A top plate is arranged at the upper end of the piston rod and connected with the second brake block bracket through a push rod. The second brake block is installed on the face, opposite to the first brake block bracket, of the second brake block bracket. The upper ends of the reset springs are connected with a guide column connecting plate, and the lower ends of the reset springs are connected with the brake cylinder assembly. The normally-closed type hydraulic brake is simple and compact in structure and convenient to operate, control and manufacture.
