The utility model discloses a monitoring rod member which comprises a vertical rod and a monitoring device installed on the vertical rod. The monitoring rod member further comprises a repairing platform, and a ladder; the repairing platform is arranged on the vertical rod close to the monitoring device; the ladder is fixedly connected with the vertical rod; the monitoring device is located at the top portion of the vertical rod; the repairing platform comprises a fan-shaped base plate and a handrail; the fan-shaped base plate encircles the outer wall of the vertical rod and is connected with the vertical rod; the handrail is fixedly connected with the base plate and encircles the base plate; an opening of the fan-shaped base plate is a space which gives way to the ladder; the ladder is fixedly connected with the outer wall of the vertical rod and extends along the axial direction of the vertical rod; one end of the ladder is close to the bottom wall of the base plate or extends above the base plate; and the other end keeps a certain distance from the bottom of the vertical rod. After using such a structure, the work staff can enter the repairing platform on the monitoring rod member through the ladder and repair the monitoring device on the repairing platform; therefore the repairing work of the monitoring device can be done without any climbing vehicle.
