Summary:The utility model relates to a forming machine. The forming machine comprises a first machine component, a second machine component which moves relative to the first machine component, a driving unit used for enabling the movable second machine component to move between the effective position and the withdrawal position, and a control or adjusting device (5) for controlling or adjusting the driving unit (4). A rated value curve (Psoll) of at least one parameter of the driving unit is stored in the control or adjusting device and can be compared with an actual value (Pist) of the same parameter of the driving unit; when the second machine component does the withdrawal motion from the effective position to the withdrawal position, the rated value curve corresponds to the parameter; and when the actual value deviates from the rated value curve by a value exceeding the deviation value capable of being set, the withdrawal motion of the second machine component can be stopped through the control or adjusting device
