An electric power conversion device (20) for wind power generation comprises an electric power conversion portion (21) and a control portion (22). The control portion (22) controls the electric power conversion portion (21) to convert electric power generated by an electric generator (15) through rotation force of a wind turbine (14) and provides electric power for an electric power system (30), and the wind turbine can rotate through wind power. In addition, the control portion (22) further controls the electric power conversion portion (21) to regard the electric generator (15) as a motor to control the rotation position of the wind turbine (14).
