The utility model discloses a quenching inductor for a spur gear. The quenching inductor comprises a base, a tooth imitated upper lead and a tooth imitated lower lead which are fixedly connected with the base respectively, and a tooth imitated silicon steel sheet and a bakelite which are arranged between the upper lead and the lower lead, wherein the bakelite is fixed with the upper lead and the lower lead through fastening bolts, the silicon steel sheet is fixed on the surface of the bakelite through insulating glue, a drain hole is formed in each of the upper lead and the lower lead, and the drain holes and a drain hole formed in the base form a circulating loop. The quenching inductor overcomes the defects of complex structure, high manufacturing process cost, short service life and the like of an existing quenching inductor, and has the advantages of reasonable structure, simpleness in manufacturing, long service life and good gear inductive quenching effect.
