According to the energy-saving automatic escalator, the working speed of the variable frequency motor of the escalator is adjusted according to the states of the passengers on the escalator; when no passenger is on the escalator, the power supply frequency of the motor is reduced so as to reduce the energy consumption of the motor; when no passengers use the escalator for a long time, the motor is turned off.
