A rolling ball used for a tumbling-box washing machine arranges a rolling ball in an inner barrel of an existing tumbling-box washing machine. The rolling ball is an elastic overall rubber ball, and the surface of the rolling ball is a glaze or a concave-convex face which is formed by bossed or pits evenly arranged on the ball surface. When the inner barrel of the washing machine rotates, the rolling ball carries out self rotary motion as well as rotary motion along with the inner barrel at the bottom of the inner barrel under a combined action of various forces; when clothes are located between the rolling ball and the inner barrel, the clothes are rolled by the rolling ball; the rolling ball generates local turbulent flow when accessing water, so that impacts on the clothes by water flows are increased, and therefore cleaning rate of the clothes is increased, and washing time and power consumption are reduced.
