An emptying valve for a solar water heater comprises a valve body (1), a push rod (5) and a driving valve rod (9), wherein a valve rod cavity (8) and a water inlet and outlet cavity (7) provided with a water inflow and outflow port (11) are arranged in the valve body; a seal ring (3) is arranged between the valve rod cavity (8) and the water inlet and outlet cavity (7); the lower end of the push rod (5) penetrates through the seal ring (3) and is connected with the driving valve rod (9) that is positioned in the valve rod cavity; and the seal ring (3) is matched with the peripheral surface of the push rod. The emptying valve for the solar water heater improves the structure simply, can ensure the movement smoothness of the driving valve rod, and can also effectively prevent the phenomena such as dropping of water inflow, damage, frost cracking and the like in the valve rod cavity.
