Summary:A parallel drive type milling equipment main drive gear box which relates to the metallurgical field is composed of a box body, an input shaft, an input-shaft duplex helical gear, two parallel driving chains, a main shaft gear and a main shaft. By adopting a structure of a duplex inclined gear pair input -second-stage parallel conical gear drive -three-stage gear drive and making power of the input shaft diverged through two parallel driving chains, the parallel drive type milling equipment main drive gear box is enabled to reduce the drive power of each driving chain to a half of the original drive power. Therefore, the requirements for the gear tooth strength of a bevel gear are lowered. The size parameter of a pinion is significantly reduced. Even a piece of conventional processing equipment can be applied for processing. The producing cost is thus lowered.
