The absorbable article (1) has a liquid permeable surface sheet (2), a liquid impermeable back sheet (3) and an absorber (4) disposed between the surface sheet (2) and the back sheet (3); a pH value indication body (50) which gives a color reaction along with the variation of the pH value of a wearer's body fluid is disposed between the back sheet (3) and the absorber (4); a high light penetration part (31) with the total light penetration rate of 40% to 80% is disposed at least in the area corresponding to the pH value indication body (50) on the back sheet (3); thereby the pH value indication body (50) can be visually observed from the outside of the absorbable article (1) through the high light penetration part (31).
