The utility model relates to a dry and wet material separating device of a belt conveyor, which comprises a falling hopper (8) and a mud scraper for scraping wet materials on a belt away, wherein the mud scraper is arranged on the lower portion of the belt conveyor; the falling hopper (8) is disposed on the lower portion at the front end of the belt conveyor; the mud scraper includes a head scraper (3) which is positioned between a position under a head pulley (1) of the belt conveyor and a position under a tail pulley (2); and a head wet material collecting chute (6) is mounted below the head scraper (3). Compared with the prior art, the dry and wet material separating device of a belt conveyor has the advantages of simple structure, convenient operation, and capabilities of separating dry and wet materials conveyed by the belt conveyor and effectively reducing moisture content of selected materials.
