Summary:The utility model provides a silicon carbonitride igniter which comprises a carrier, a heat-generating tungsten filament with an electrode and a wire, wherein the carrier is a solid element with layered structure and comprises a silicon nitride inner core, a silicon carbide surface layer and a silicon carbonitride intermediate layer between the silicon nitride inner core and the silicon carbide surface layer, the heat-generating tungsten filament is embedded in the silicon nitride inner core, the electrode of the heat-generating tungsten filament is arranged on one end of the carrier, and the wire is welded and connected with the electrode of the heat-generating tungsten filament. Because the surface layer is a silicon carbide layer, the silicon carbonitride igniter can work without being oxidized when the temperature is larger than 1400 DEG C, moreover, the high temperature shock resistance and thermal shock resistance of the igniter are retained because the inner core is made of silicon nitride.
