Summary:The utility model provides a non-earthing type arrester, which comprises a four-terminal network and a shell. The utility model changes prior mode that an arrestor must be earthed. The arrestor does not have earth terminals and earth leads, which is just connected into a signal loop or a power loop of an electronic device in series, the pulse pressure-limiting function and the pulse absorbing function of the arrester are utilized to attenuate pulse overvoltage of lighting induction which invades between a cold end and a hot end of the signal loop or between a live conductor and a zero curve of the power loop, thereby achieving the purposes of protecting the electronic device which is operating and removing an earth lead simultaneously. The non-earthing type arrester has simple structure, lower engineering installation cost and strong practicability.
