Summary: | The utility model discloses a motor traction device for AC drive electric locomotives which comprises a bogie and an axle, wherein two bogies are installed on the frame of the locomotive, a traction convertor is mounted between the two bogies and three axles are fixed on each bogie. The device is characterized in that: the middle axle with only a brake disk is not the driving axle; at the inner side of the other axles, the sideward traction motors are symmetrically installed and the traction motor is directly driven by two traction convertors. The utility model is a great technical improvement for the prior SS7E electric locomotive, which decreases the amount of the axle, reduces the weight of the locomotive, and improves the air brake capability on the basis of ensuring the dynamic capabilities. The device has the obvious advantage of economical practicability, which is especially applicable to the maintenance and modification of DC drive electric locomotives. |
