Summary:The process of making embossing plate of leather mold includes the following steps: obtaining the leather sample pattern with one laser copying machine and treating the scanned pattern in a computer to obtain program for driving engraving machine; carving the pattern on an acryl plate with a computerized engraving machine; pouring silica gel with added 5-20 wt% silicone oil onto the acryl plate to obtain silica gel mold; coating the mold with 1000-3000 mesh silver powder and setting in a electrolytic bath to plate copper for 1-5 days so as to make copper plate with the corresponding pattern; combining the copper plate onto steel plate in the same size with molten tin; polishing and cleaning the copper plate; and plating one layer of hard chromium to make the embossing plate. The process is simple and can make high quality embossing plate.
