Summary:A method and apparatus for video encoding/decoding are provided to improve compression efficiency by generating a prediction block using an intra-inter hybrid predictor. A video encoding method includes dividing an input video into a plurality of blocks, forming a first predictor for an edge region of a current block to be encoded among the divided blocks through intraprediction, forming a second predictor for the remaining region of the current block through interprediction, and forming a prediction block of the current block by combining the first predictor and the second predictor.
