Summary:Conventionally, it is known that device authentication is performed between a drive device and a reproduction device reproducing a content before reading the content from a recording medium. The device authentication testifies the validity of the reproduction device. After validity is testified, the reproduction device can read any of the contents stored in the recording medium. There is provided a read device to limit the type of contents acquired by the reproduction device by permitting the reproduction device to read contents satisfying a particular condition and inhibiting the reproduction device to read the other contents.
