The slide apparatus of a slide-type portable terminal includes a body housing and a slide housing opened and closed from and to the body housing. The slide apparatus includes a pair of side guide members integrally formed with the body housing on both sides of the body housing in the lengthwise direction of the body housing; and a pair of side slide members integrally formed with the slide housing on both sides of the slide housing in the lengthwise direction of the slide housing and slidably engaged between the side guide members.
