The invention provides a polymer obtained by the reacting between a polymer comprising carboxylic groups or a carboxylic anhydride groups and hydroxyl groups, and isocyanate having (methyl)propeneacyl. To provide a novel radiation sensitive composition for a color filter by mixing the polymer with a colorant, a polyfunctional monomer, and a photo-radical generator. The composition provides a color filter which is free of undissolved matters remained or a scum on a pattern edge during development and gives pixels and a black matrix free of chipping or undercut of a pattern edge even under low exposure conditions.
