Summary:The invention relates to a mode-leakage optical fiber liquid level sensor, wherein it is formed by two parallel optical fibers which are bended into clip shape or flask shape; one is testing fiber and another is reference fiber; the outer clad of testing fiber has light leakage section with damage treatment; the heads and tails of two fibers are all arranged with fiber connectors; the light leakage section is sheathed with sealing transparent muffle, filled with reference liquid; the lower semi-ring of testing and reference fibers are not less than 8-timed fiber diameter. The invention has low cost, reliable application and accurate measurement.
