Constant-velocity joint with low radial displacement of the balls

The invention relates to a constant-velocity joint in the form of a fixed joint, which is characterised as follows: the joint comprises a joint outer part (12) with a longitudinal axis (L12) and a first side (S1) and a second side (S2) that are axially opposed, said part containing outer ball races...

Summary:The invention relates to a constant-velocity joint in the form of a fixed joint, which is characterised as follows: the joint comprises a joint outer part (12) with a longitudinal axis (L12) and a first side (S1) and a second side (S2) that are axially opposed, said part containing outer ball races (22); when the joint is extended and the longitudinal axes (L12, L13) coincide, the opening angle ( alpha ) between tangents (T22', T23') to the race base lines opens out from the second side (S2) to the first side (S1); in the joint outer part (12), the centre line (M22) of the ball races (22) deviates radially inwards, in the region of the central plane (EM) of the joint towards the first side (S1), from a respective reference radius, the central point of said radius lying on the intersection of a perpendicular with the tangent (T22) at the central line (M22) of the ball race (22) on the joint central plane (EM) and the longitudinal axis (L12); in the joint inner part (13), the central line (M23) of the ball races (23) deviates radially inwards, in the region of the central plane (EM) of the joint towards the second side (S2), from a respective reference radius, the central point of said radius lying on the intersection of a perpendicular with the tangent at the central line (M23) of the ball race (23) on the joint central plane (EM) and the longitudinal axis (L13); in the joint outer part (12), the central line (M22) of the ball races (22) migrates radially outwards, in the region of the central plane (EM) of the joint towards the second side (S2), beyond the aforementioned reference radius and in the joint inner part (13), the central line (M23) of the ball races (23) migrates radially outwards, in the region of the central plane (EM) of the joint towards the first side (S1), beyond the aforementioned reference radius.
