Summary:The present invention relates to capsule shell for medicine and health food, and is especially the preparation process of kappa-carrageenan for medicine capsule. The kappa-carrageenan for medicine capsule is prepared with food level carrageenan as material and through swelling with water, extracting in 50-90 wt% concentration alcohol solution, solid-liquid separation, drying at temperature less than 60deg.C and grinding. The present invention has the advantages of high product purity, high transparency, stable performance and being suitable for use in medicine and food, and the preparation is low in cost and environment friendly.
