The invention comprises a laminated, said laminated article comprising: a bonding agent for bonding said article to a surface, a sheet providing a functional effect and a releasable liner releasable from the balance of said article, wherein said sheet is interposed between said bonding agent and said releasable liner, such article as may be used to apply a functional effect to a surface. The functional effect may be color. The article has plies which preferentially release from one another or adhere to one another as desired for bonding to the surface, either temporarily, for respositionability, or permanently, for long-term use.
