Summary: | In the method for accurately measuring the angle of the rotation (w) about a shaft (a), at least a part of a plurality of pattern elements (5-13), arranged about a center (4) are arranged as a row inthe rotation direction. A light beam is at least partly radiated on a plurality of detection elements (2) arranged in series of photodetectors (1). The pattern elements are arranged on a rotating body(3), the rotating body is rotated about the shaft, and is made to relate to the photodetector. The positions (p) of the radiated pattern elements are resolved by the detection elements of the photodetectors. When the angle of the rotation is calculated, the influence on the eccentricity (e) of a pattern center with respect to the shaft is calculated from at least one resolved position of the pattern elements. The angle of rotation is accurately calculated from the resolved positions (p1, p2 and p3) arranged as a row. |
