Summary:The present invention provides a device or a 'DONGLE' (30) that is used for controlling the communication between subscriber identity modules (or SIM) such as GSM cellular telephone systems and computers of PC (10) that are based on Windows. The SIM (12) can adopt telephone network authentication to authenticate the PC (10) or users thereof, in the same way as the SIM of users of telephones and mobile phones in the authentication network. For example, the authentication allows the application of the PC (10) for application-specific session of limited time. When the authentication process is satisfactorily completed, the application is released to the PC (10). After the satisfactory authentication process, the third party can be adopted to release the application to the PC (10), which performs as the response to the satisfactory authentication process.
