Summary:A controller of the alternator for a vehicle comprising a generator (1) connected with a vehicle-mounted battery, a regulator (20) including a regulator IC (4) for regulating the generating voltage of the generator (1), and an ECU (10) connected with the regulator (20). As the on-rate information of a DF signal being inputted from the regulator (20) to the ECU (10), a value obtained by averaging the on-time of the DF signal being measured during a given sampling time is employed, thus reducing the scale of circuitry, optimizing the circuitry, stabilizing the control and reducing the cost.
