The method includes storing bit information that indicates that a file exists whenever the file is stored on the recording medium; storing bit information that indicates that a file does not exist whenever the file is deleted from the recording medium; and, when an object file is searched for on the recording medium, searching for the object file on files corresponding to bit information that indicates the existence of the files.
