The present invention discloses a production method of damp-proof gypsum building material. It is characterized by that before the traditional production method of gypsum building material a fly ash pretreatment procedure is added, namely, in the fly ash a small quantity of desulfurated gypsum can be added, then the desulfurated gypsum, building lime or calcium carbide slag, aluminium sulfate or alumstone and water are placed in a stirring tank, and stirred at high speed for 10-20 min, so as to make them produce chemical reaction to obtain fly ash pulp with C-S-H gel, then the fly ash pulp and water are mixed into the building gypsum according to a certain ratio, stirred, poured, formed and dried so as to obtain the invented damp-proof gypsum building material containing hydraulic C-S-H gel and ettringite crystal.
