Summary:The present invention relates to a transmitter for measuring sulfur hexafluoride gas concentration and its measurement method. The transmitter consists of ultrasonic detecting device, monochip computer and ambient parameter acquiring circuit. The ultrasonic detecting device includes waveform generator, amplifying and isolating circuit, sampler, reference unit, isolating and amplifying shaper, comparing and measuring filter, frequency divider and crystal oscillator. The ambient parameter acquiring circuit includes temperature acquiring circuit. When the transmitter is used, the monochip computer calculates sulfur hexafluoride gas concentration with the ultrasonic measuring signal from the ultrasonic detecting device and the temperature signal the ambient parameter acquiring circuit obtains as variables. The present invention is simple in structure and safe and may be used for in-situ measuring lower sulfur hexafluoride gas concentration in high precision.
