Summary:An optical fiber distribution board (501) comprising: a central-side terminating section (510) for terminating first optical cable (511) optically connected to communication equipment (513) in a central office; a user-side terminating section (507) for terminating second optical cable (512) optically connected to subscriber terminal equipment; a cross connecting section (502) for switching connections of any optical fiber of said first optical cable (511) with any optical fiber of said second optical cable (512); a fiber sorting section (503) for accommodating said first optical cable (511) and separating optical fibers to be routed to said cross connecting section (502) from optical fibers to be routed to a fiber storage section (504); and a fiber-cord storage section (506) for providing connecting means for optically connecting any optical fiber from said fiber sorting section (503) to any terminal of said cross connecting section (502).
