Summary: | There is provided cyclic amidine compounds of the following formula (I): wherein: A1 and A2 are hydrogen atom, optionally substituted alkyl group; optionally substituted aryl group; or optionally substituted heterocyclic group; and X is -C(R1,R2)-C(R3,R4)-, -C(R5)=C(R6)-, -C(R7,R8)-C(R9,R10)-C(R11,R12)-, or -C(R13,R14)-C(R15,R16)-NH- (wherein, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12, R13, R14, R15 and R16 are hydrogen atom; halogen atom; optionally substituted alkyl group; optionally substituted aryl group; or optionally substituted heterocyclic group; or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. These compounds have good affinity for alpha4beta2 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and activate the same to thereby exert a preventive or therapeutic effect on cerebral dysfunction. |
