Summary: | Method of preparing aluminium hydroxide by sodium hydroxide alkali fusion of bauxite is proceeded as follows: solid sodium hydroxide is added to alkali resisting reactor, heating and fusing adding bauxite powder according to proportion, mix, continus heating and melting, maintain 320-650 deg.C for 0.25 to 5 hr., take out fused block, adding water and boiling to macerate, filtering, remove red fiter residue, transfer filtrate to carbonizing tower, introduce CO2 to transfer sodium metaaluminate in filtrate to sodium carbonate and hydrolyze and precipitate out aluminium hydroxide, filter, wash out the sodium salt remaining in the precipitate, press and dry to obtain aluminium hydroxide product. The sodium carbonate filtrate is causticized to recover sodium hydroxide. |
