Summary:The method for activating quick-coagulated cathode hydrogen storage alloy, suitable for quick-coagulated cathode hydrogen storage alloy and the hydrogen storage alloys prepared by other method, including rare earth series (AB5 series). Zr series. Mg series. Ti series and Ca series. etc., includes the following steps: firstly, the alloy powder to be treated is placed in 1-10 times of water, and then a certain quantity of 1 : 300 diluted H2SO4 in weight ratio of 1 : 5-30 is added, while the above-mentioned materials are stirred until the pH value of solution is equal to 7.0 at 10-60 deg.C for about 0.5-1.5 hr. said invention can quickly and effectively raise the surface activity of the quick-coagulated cathode hydrogen storage alloy.
