Summary:The invention relates to the technical field of gene engineering, in particular to application of NtWRKY33 in regulation and control of nornicotine content in tobacco. According to the invention, it is determined for the first time that NtWRKY33 is a transcription factor participating in synthesis of nornicotine induced by aging through forward regulation of NtE4 expression, and the content of nornicotine can be significantly reduced by inhibiting NtWRKY33. The invention provides a new insight for a molecular mechanism for synthesis of senescence-induced nornicotine, determines a new target for regulating the nornicotine level, and has important application value. 本发明涉及基因工程技术领域,具体涉及NtWRKY33在调控烟草中降烟碱含量中的应用。本发明首次确定NtWRKY33是通过正向调控NtE4表达参与衰老诱导的降烟碱合成的转录因子,抑制NtWRKY33可显著降低降烟碱含量。本发明为衰老诱导的降烟碱合成的分子机制提供了新的见解,并为调节降烟碱水平确定了一个新的目标,具有重要的应用价值。
