Summary:The invention discloses an adaptive modulation and coding method for deterministic low-delay retransmission. In order to optimize average time delay on the premise of meeting deterministic time delay constraints, modulation coding schemes of an initial transmission queue and a retransmission queue are dynamically selected. In order to solve the problem of coupling between time slots of queues, a multi-step Q learning method based on an updating system is provided to re-acquire a value function of the system when an updating event is triggered. A virtual queue corresponding to a deterministic time delay constraint is constructed, and a cost function based on the virtual queue and an actual queue is designed to be used in value function learning. And based on the obtained value function, the system determines a modulation coding scheme to be adopted according to the current queue length.
