A vortex suppression member 12 is attached to a bell mouth of a pump. The vortex suppression member (12) has: a curved wall (30) which extends downward from a part of the peripheral edge of the suction inlet of the bell mouth in the circumferential direction, and which has an arc-shaped cross-section; and a bottom plate (34) that is supported by the curved wall (30) and faces the lower side of the suction inlet. The bottom plate 34 is disposed on an extension line of an axis 40 of the bell mouth.
