The invention discloses an automatic detection system and method for a butterfly-shaped gas cylinder processing technology, and belongs to the technical field of butterfly-shaped gas cylinder detection. The automatic detection system comprises a clamping unit used for fixing the butterfly-shaped gas cylinder lining, a pressure intensity detection unit, a temperature detection unit and a pressure adjusting unit, the automatic detection system is used in the automatic detection method, and pressure sensors of the pressure intensity detection unit are arranged at different positions of the butterfly-shaped gas cylinder lining. When the pressure difference between the external pressure and the internal pressure of the butterfly-shaped gas cylinder lining exceeds a certain range, the pressure of the butterfly-shaped gas cylinder lining is adjusted in time through a gas channel of the clamping unit by the pressure adjusting unit; and the pressure difference between the external pressure and the internal pressure of
