The present invention relates to methods for treating and/or preventing diffuse alveolar hemorrhage. In one aspect, the invention provides a method of inhibiting the effect of MASP-2-dependent complement activation in a human subject suffering from graft versus host disease and/or diffuse alveolar hemorrhage and/or venous occlusion disease associated with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
