In one example, a power control device includes a magnetic core including a first branch and a second branch. A primary winding is arranged around the first leg and a secondary winding is arranged around the second leg. The power control device includes a voltage source converter having an AC connection and a DC connection, and a controller. The controller is configured to: receive data associated with a parameter of a first signal in the primary winding; comparing a parameter of the first signal with a parameter of a reference signal of the second secondary winding; a coordination signal is determined that, when applied to the first branch, approaches a second signal in the second secondary winding to the reference signal.
